Superstar musician Waje has declared that her current relationship status is nobody’s business but hers. She made the pronouncement on the set of this week’s MTV Base Real Talk featuring VJ Stephanie. Responding to a question from Twitter user @thirsttrapping, “Are you currently dating anyone?” she responded “The answer is I’m not sure it is their business.” After some pressure from Stephanie including the question, “What would the lie be?” she eventually conceded, “The lie would be no.” In the course of the show, Waje also answered questions about having plastic surgery and whether she was actually naked in the video of her song “I Wish”. MTV Base Word On The Street featuring Waje airs this Sunday November 8 on MTV Base DSTV channel 322.

President Robert Mugabe, 91, threw caution to the wind in his views about Kenyans who he described as highly unscrupulous people. According to Mugabe, Kenyans are the most arrogant thieves in the world because they steal with high degree impunity.
   Those people of East Africa shock me with their wizardry in stealing. Sometimes I tend to believe that stealing is in every Kenyan’s blood. These people go to their schools and read good courses but they qualify as the best thieves. “You can even think that there is a subject in their universities called Bachelor of Stealing. Whenever they get an opportunity as employees, they never disappoint. They steal enough money to buy their freedom because even the judges who listen to their cases are financially powerless,” he said with vigor. “I urge you my people to be on high alert in case you by bad luck, happen to visit that East African nation. They might infect you with that disease and we don’t want it here. Zimbabweans are honest people who love their country and don’t want such stealing tendenciesm

President Barack Obama on Wednesday said he has given a directive that 300 troops should be deployed to Cameroon to work with West African soldiers in efforts to fight Boko Haram. New York Times reports that the announcement was made via a letter to congress, and confirms that troops will provide “intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance” in the region. Also, White House press secretary, Josh Earnest, said that the troops would be armed for their protection but that they would not engage in combat. The report further states that an advance force of about 90 military personnel had begun deploying to Cameroon

While Drake and Serena have never come out and officially announced their coupledom, the connection between the two has been pretty undeniable over the last few months. The couple has been caught kissing on camera and frequently spotted together everywhere from London to LA.

After engagement rumors between the two hit the internet, Drake’s camp had to shut down claims that he had bought a rock for the tennis diva after only a few months of dating.

Now, Serena’s team is coming out to say that not only are they not engaged, but the two aren’t even dating at all. As a source close to the duo shared with E!News:

“They are friends and nothing more,” the source said.

Damn, NOTHING more?? We figured they weren’t quite serious enough for an engagement yet…but from the sound of this statement, these two may be done chopping each other down altogether…at least for the moment.


So…does this mean Drake is on his way back into the VIP section of Houston strip clubs Marvin’s Room??

Taylor Swift Covers GQ And Announces Hiatus From Music!

She’s been on pretty much every magazine cover in the world by now, except GQ. But Taylor Swift is changing all of that with the November 2015 issue of the men’s magazine.

Writer Chuck Klosterman interviewed the “I Knew You Were Trouble” songstress for the spread and it sounds like he was pretty impressed- “If you don’t take Swift seriously, you don’t take contemporary music seriously...There’s simply no antecedent for this kind of career: a cross-genre, youth-oriented, critically acclaimed colossus based entirely on the intuitive songwriting merits of a single female artist. It’s as if mid-period Garth Brooks was also early Liz Phair, minus the hat and the swearing. As a phenomenon, it’s absolutely new.”


Meanwhile, Taylor told Britain’s NME magazine that she’ll step away from music once her current tour wraps in Australia this December- "I think I should take some time off. People might need a break from me. I'm going to hang out with friends. Write new music. Maybe not write new music. I don't know."
